Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for learners undertaking this qualification. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 14 years or over. For international students an IELTS score of 5.5 is required.

Course Summary

This qualification is designed to provide the learner with skills, understanding and knowledge of basic food safety practices, which meets the legal basic food training requirements for people that handle food as part of their job or in a voluntary role. This qualification enables learners to identify areas to improve food safety in the working environment in which they undertake their role. The qualification is linked to the National Occupational Standards (NOS).
