Course Description
The Access to Higher Education Diploma (Science) is a Level 3 qualification which prepares people without traditional qualifications for study at university.
It is designed for:

adults with a current or previous role or interest in a science related area;

adults who, because of social, educational or individual circumstances, were unable to participate in or benefit from initial education;
-
adults from groups under-represented in higher education;
-
adults seeking a change of direction because of unemployment or lack of career opportunities in their previous field and who have a demonstrable interest in entering a science related profession.

Course Delivery
Lessons are delivered online via webinars - you can always replay the recording in case you miss a lesson.
To gain this qualification, you are required to carry out 10 hours of laboratory practicals at our local University partner in Derry-Londonderry. These practicals will be delivered over 3 days, 1.5 days in Semester 1 and 1.5 days in Semester 2.
Fees
£820 (Tuition) + £130 ( Registration fee) + £200 laboratory fee for 1 year.
