The Medi-Prep Programme is a 9-month programme designed to prepare aspiring international medical, nursing and dentistry students for application to UK universities. Through the Medi-Prep programme you will be enrolled on to an OCN Level 4 Diploma in Medical Science which may help you to graduate onto a pre-Medical and pre-Dental level course or a Nursing degree programme in a UK university.
This diploma is equivalent to a first year of an undergraduate degree (candidates who already posses foreign qualifications which are deemed acceptable by UK Medical and Dental Schools may get entry to Level 1 of a Medical or Dental Degree programme after successfully completing all the requirements of the Medi-Prep and satisfactory completion of the UKCAT examination and interview(s) set out by the University).
Lessons are delivered online via webinars - you can always replay the recording in case you miss a lesson.
To gain this qualification, you are required to carry out 10 hours of laboratory practicals at our local University partner in Derry-Londonderry. These practicals will be delivered over 3 days, 1.5 days in Semester 1 and 1.5 days in Semester 2.
